L’OCCITANE supports bold EU actions to eliminate imported deforestation

L’OCCITANE today joined other leading businesses across the value chain – from suppliers to manufacturers and retailers – that request strong EU leadership to eliminate imported deforestation, starting with traceability requirements when entering the EU internal market.

The signatories call on the EU to put in place a clear legal framework on this pressing matter. We believe every actor in the value chain has its role to play in protecting global forests. This is a systemic issue and we need robust public sector action if we are to solve it.
