Bringing eye care support to 10 million people by 2020.
Through its flagship UNION FOR VISION 10 by 20 programme, the L'OCCITANE Foundation focuses on fighting preventable blindness by improving access to quality eye care throughout the world. Our aim is to provide eye care support to 10 million people by 2020.

The Foundation is particularly proud to have signed a partnership with UNICEF in 2016 for the fight against blindness for 1.7 million children before 2019 by providing critical supplies of vitamin A.

Every year, the L’OCCITANE Foundation supports NGOs projects in approximately 20 countries. These projects aim to train medical staff, bring quality equipment and increase awareness amongst the local populations. The goal is to enable beneficiaries to either recover or to protect their sight.

Empowering women and promoting women's leadership across the world.
Since the 1980s, L'OCCITANE has been promoting sustainable partnerships with women producers of shea butter. To further extend this commitment, the L'OCCITANE Foundation empowers women in Burkina Faso.

The Foundation focuses its support around 3 key pillars:

- Providing basic skills and knowledge to women by supporting literacy programs;
- Providing financial and technical resources through microcredit programs and training for income-generating activities;
- Supporting entrepreneurial actions and the creation and development of small businesses.

Since its creation in 2006, more than 26,000 women have received support in developing and strengthening their activities in Burkina Faso.

Provence and the Mediterranean, a region filled with potential.
For L'OCCITANE, Provence and the Mediterranean provide both a source of inspiration for our products and an opportunity to make a lasting and positive impact on the local terrain. We do this through the L'OCCITANE Foundation, for whom preserving natural heritage is a priority.

Through our partnership with the IUCN* in France, we are are supporting a project that will produce a red list of ecosystems for France's Mediterranean coastlines and forests so as to increase knowledge about biodiversity and raise awareness of the challenges involved.

Since the Foundation's creation, 900,000 people have been involved in local heritage preservation projects across the region.
