1997
Internationalisation strategy
An international group is created
The L'OCCITANE Group is created and an internationalisation strategy is launched by Reinold Geiger.
2008
Melvita acquired
L'OCCITANE Group acquires Melvita
The L'OCCITANE Group acquires the brand Melvita.
2010
Listed on HKSE
The Group is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange
In 2010, L’OCCITANE Group went public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange to support the company’s development in Asia.
2012
Erborian joins the Group
L'OCCITANE Group acquires Erborian
The L'OCCITANE Group grows once again and adds the Erborian brand to its portfolio.
2013
L'OCCITANE au Brésil
L'OCCITANE au Brésil is launched
The L'OCCITANE Group launches a new brand called L'OCCITANE au Brésil.
2017
Limelight joins the Group
The Group invests in LimeLight by Alcone
The L'OCCITANE Group accelerates its expansion into colour cosmetics by investing in the natural skincare brand LimeLight by Alcone and fully integrating the brand into the L'OCCITANE Group.
2019
ELEMIS joins the Group
The L'OCCITANE Group acquires ELEMIS
The L'OCCITANE Group acquires the luxury skincare brand ELEMIS. This becomes the Group's most significant acquisition since listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2010.

The L'OCCITANE Group acquires Australian skincare brand Grown Alchemist.
2023
The L'OCCITANE Group becomes a certified B Corporation™
The L'OCCITANE Group becomes a certified B Corporation™ and becomes part of a movement of like-minded businesses that are leading systemic change to support our collective vision of an inclusive, equitable and regenerative economy.

L'OCCITANE Group acquires Dr. Vranjes Firenze
The L'OCCITANE Group acquires the Italian luxury home fragrance brand Dr. Vranjes Firenze, marking another step in its strategy to build a diversified portfolio of strong premium beauty and fragrance brands.
2024
L'OCCITANE Group goes private to foster long-term sustainable growth
In April 2024, the LOCCITANE Group's controlling shareholder proposed taking the company private to drive long-term sustainable growth across its brand portfolio. The privatisation conditions were met and the company successfully delisted from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in October 2024.
