Innovation and quality

One of the strengths of the brands in the L'OCCITANE Group is their dedication to creating effective cosmetic formulas from naturally derived ingredients.

Natural beauty care Back to top

The L'OCCITANE Group has stayed true to its objective of developing ever-more natural, ethical and effective formulas. Teams share this ambition, while also ensuring that they respect the values of the brand.

From the sourcing of botanical ingredients to the extraction and characterization of active molecules and effectiveness tests on the skin, the teams of the L’OCCITANE Group work together in perfect synergy. This enables them to offer the very best of plants, and to guarantee optimal quality and traceability (from the harvesting site to the finished product).

True pioneers in natural beauty care, the Groupe has launched a cosmetogenomics program in 2009, to demonstrate and validate the effectiveness of active ingredients at the heart of cells. With over 400 formulas created per year, the L’OCCITANE Group is renowned for its skincare expertise.

The teams follow a very strict formulation charter that puts an emphasis on naturalness and is based on the principles of phytotherapy and aromatherapy. Every day, they work to formulate products with innovative, sensorial textures, made with patented complexes, and which are clinically proven to be both effective and gentle on the skin.
